Every fall, I love to push myself creatively and step outside the box with a spooky-themed photoshoot. As a photographer, I think it’s so important to create just for the sake of creating — no expectations, just pure imagination and fun. And since Halloween is one of my favorite times of year, there’s no better excuse to combine eerie vibes with beautiful portraits!

Last year, I went all in on the pumpkin head photoshoot trend…and it was a total hit! It was spooky, seasonal, and seriously so fun to create!

For 2025, I wanted to do something that felt both haunting and high-fashion. The theme? “Scream.”

Think: a stunning, confident model… wearing a Scream mask. The contrast between beauty and horror made for such striking images — the kind that make you look twice and wonder, “Wait, is that gorgeous girl really wearing a Ghostface mask right now?”

We shot at golden hour to add a warm, cinematic glow to the eeriness, blending spooky elements with editorial-style posing and lighting. The end result? A series that feels both unsettling and totally stunning.

Because I can never stop at just one concept, I added a bonus look — a “Girly Pop Ghost” complete with a pink cowgirl hat and playful energy. It was the perfect mix of cute and creepy, and it added that bit of fun flair that I love weaving into all my creative projects.

These creative sessions let me experiment with mood, color, and storytelling in ways that traditional shoots can’t. Whether it’s a Halloween theme or something dreamy and surreal, I always leave feeling inspired and recharged.

As a Northern California photographer, I adore finding unique ways to merge spooky aesthetics with beautiful portraits — it’s where my love for horror and art collide.
