There’s something truly special about springtime senior sessions—especially here in El Dorado Hills, California. This recent Class of 2026 senior session was the perfect example of why this season is one of my absolute favorites to shoot. The rolling hills were alive with lush greens, tall grass swaying in the breeze, and delicate wildflowers adding soft pops of color throughout the landscape. It created the dreamiest natural backdrop and perfectly complemented this senior’s style and personality.
One of my favorite parts of any senior session is getting to tell a story—not just about where someone is right now, but where they’re headed. This senior has been deeply involved in extracurricular activities throughout high school, and it was so important to capture that side of her journey. Incorporating meaningful elements that reflect passions, dedication, and personality always elevates a session from simple portraits to something much more personal and lasting.
What made this session even more unique was that it also served as a branding session for her future career as a hairstylist. We were intentional about capturing images that felt both authentic and professional—photos she can use not only to remember this milestone moment but also to begin building her personal brand. Senior year is such a transitional time, and sessions like this can beautifully bridge the gap between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming.
