There are few places more magical for a proposal than Lake Tahoe, and A & R’s love story unfolded at one of the most breathtaking spots on the lake — Chimney Beach. Nestled on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, Chimney Beach is famous for the tall stone chimney that still stands on the sand, a remnant of an old lakeside cabin. It’s one of those hidden gems where couples can escape the crowds and soak in the natural beauty of the Sierra Nevada.

We met at Chimney Beach just before sunset and hiked down the scenic trail that opens up to the lake. Waiting by the shore was a heart-shaped setup designed by A Floral Affair (Gardnerville, NV). The scene was complete with glowing candles, fresh florals, and framed photos of the couple’s journey together — the perfect backdrop for a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

As the sun dipped lower, painting the sky with soft pink hues, A got down on one knee and asked R to marry him. With the lake shimmering in the background and the quiet, intimate setting all around us, R said “yes.” It was such a beautiful moment to capture — full of joy, emotion, and the unmistakable magic that makes Lake Tahoe such a special place.
